SÜDPACK will showcase its latest developments in the field of compounding at two major industry events in spring 2026. At KPA, the cross-industry trade fair for plastic products held in Ulm, the experts from Ochsenhausen will be available for in-depth discussions on February 25 and 26, 2026, at Hall 2, Booth D 13. Just one week later, on March 4 and 5, the enhanced properties and improved carbon footprint of its next-generation products will again be the main talking point at the SÜDPACK booth – this time at the 33rd International Colloquium on Plastics Technology in Aachen.
SÜDPACK has enhanced its range of StarBlend® compounds. These formulations – which include post-industrial or post-consumer recyclates, as well as biobased materials and fillers like talc, chalk, or natural fibers – now combine greater sustainability with improved performance and new functional properties.
High impact strength – reduced carbon footprint
SÜDPACK has optimized its compounds for applications involving high mechanical stress – such as the production of housings, technical components, or automotive interior parts. In testing, SÜDPACK’s compounds consistently outperformed unmodified base polymers.
At the same time, compounds containing recyclates or biobased materials help reduce reliance on fossil raw materials and shrink the overall carbon footprint – making a valuable contribution to the circular economy in the plastics industry. Upon request, SÜDPACK can also provide a detailed eco-balance for its StarBlend compounds, enabling customers to make informed, fact-based decisions tailored to their specific requirements.
Compounds with defined electrically conductive properties
Most plastics are electrical insulators and can become statically charged through friction. Uncontrolled electrostatic discharges cause millions in damages every year – particularly in sectors such as microelectronics, medical technology, chemicals, logistics, and explosion protection – due to product damage, performance loss, or even explosions.
To prevent this, SÜDPACK enhances its PP-based compounds with tailored additives to achieve conductivity levels ranging from antistatic to fully conductive, depending on the requirements. In addition to black and uncolored variants, the compounds can also be color-matched to meet specific design requirements – such as defined housing colors. Thanks to their low weight, these compounds are ideally suited for efficient lightweight applications.
Exceptional quality, simple processing, high safety
In addition to their significantly enhanced properties, all StarBlend compounds are designed to ensure excellent processability. Thanks to full traceability of all raw materials throughout the supply chain, SÜDPACK guarantees the consistent high quality and dependable availability of its products – in the exact quantities required by customers in industries such as automotive, electrical and mechanical engineering, medical technology, furniture, packaging, aerospace, and consumer goods. Another key advantage: Even for the most demanding customer-specific requirements, SÜDPACK’s broad standard portfolio allows for significantly shorter development times – significantly accelerating time-to-market.
