SÜDPACK stays on top: Four years as Innovation Champion

With the August 8 issue of WirtschaftsWoche, it’s now official: SÜDPACK has once again secured a spot among the top 100 companies in the renowned business magazine’s innovation ranking – for the fourth year in a row. The film manufacturer is now entitled to carry the “Innovation Champions 2022–2025” seal of excellence. 

This marks the second major award for SÜDPACK in August 2025. In their comprehensive study “Germany’s Best in the Circular Economy”, the F.A.Z. Institute and ServiceValue GmbH once again named SÜDPACK the industry winner in the packaging manufacturer category – for the second year in a row, following its top ranking in 2024.

... the Munich-based consulting firm Munich Strategy once again conducted an in-depth analysis – as in previous years – evaluating not only the turnover and profit performance of 4,000 German mid-sized companies, but above all their innovative strength, including investment in R&D. The assessment also factored in each company’s perceived impact as an innovation driver, both among stakeholders and in the broader market. 

The agile, family-owned company SÜDPACK remains among the top tier in 2025 – and with good reason. Some of its most notable and forward-looking product innovations in recent years include the Pure-Line mono-materials, the multi-award-winning PharmaGuard® blister concept, and the Tubular Bag PurePE, which was recently honored with the WorldStar Packaging Award. 

SÜDPACK continues to live up to its strong reputation with its latest film and packaging solutions. A prime example is NutriGuard®, a PP-based blister concept classified as recyclable. Designed for nutraceuticals such as vitamins, minerals, proteins, and natural additives, it represents a greener alternative to conventional primary packaging made from PVC/PVdC/aluminum. 

Another recent innovation is CarbonLite®. The recyclable mono-materials in this product line are suitable for a wide range of packaging concepts – such as PE flowpacks for cuts of cheese or garlic baguettes, convenient PP doypacks for snacks, PP or PE block-bottom pouches for coffee, and PP spouted pouches for fruit purées. 

This September, SÜDPACK will showcase its complete lineup of new, innovative products at FACHPACK 2025 – at booth No. 212 in Hall 4.
