SÜDPACK Kłobuck is a true success story – and a powerful signal to the packaging and printing industry, especially in these economically and politically challenging times. On November 28, the SÜDPACK Group – headquartered in Ochsenhausen, Upper Swabia – celebrated the 10th anniversary of its Polish site with an event attended by numerous guests of honor.
SÜDPACK first acquired the Polish company Bahpol in 2015. Specializing in the finishing of flexible films, the company was integrated into SÜDPACK’s organizational structure. Today, the site continues to focus on the finishing of flexible films – including via the flexo print process.
In recent years, the production facility has grown by a total of 15,000 m² – with 1,000 m² added in 2016 and a further 14,000 m² between 2020 and 2022. This expansion also saw the number of employees rise from 90 to 330.
SÜDPACK has also invested in numerous new machines along the entire finishing line to meet rising market demand more quickly and efficiently. Thanks to its advanced machinery and proven expertise in packaging finishing, the company remains firmly at the forefront of the industry.
Carolin Grimbacher, Managing Partner of the SÜDPACK Group, emphasized that the acquisition of what was then Bahpol was absolutely the right decision. “In just a short time, the site has evolved from a pure packaging finisher into a leading competence center for flexo print in Europe. We are very confident that we will continue the SÜDPACK Kłobuck success story in the years to come!”
But first, the 10-year anniversary was celebrated in style together with employees and numerous honored guests. Braving the wintry cold in Kłobuck for the occasion were CTO Carolin Grimbacher, CEO Thorsten Seehars, and COO Christoph Angstl, who attended as representatives of SÜDPACK Management. In their engaging speeches, they not only honored the plant’s impressive journey but also expressed their heartfelt thanks to all local employees for their dedication and commitment.
