Your advantages
The PPWR, tighter recyclability requirements, and the growing impact of packaging design on regulatory costs are bringing overall packaging performance into sharper focus. There is also growing emphasis on resource efficiency, circularity, and lifecycle thinking. With our PP-based packaging solutions, we help coffee roasters prepare their packaging portfolios for future market, retail, and regulatory requirements.
For consumers, packaging is often the first point of contact with a brand. High-quality print images, premium finishes, and good pack stability all help create a strong presence on the shelf. Whether flexo, rotogravure, or digital printing, our printing experts develop packaging solutions tailored precisely to the product, brand, and customer requirements. Gloss, matte, and tactile effects provide additional differentiation and reinforce the product’s premium appeal.

CarbonLite® Flow Pack PurePP is a PP-based coffee packaging solution that combines product protection, performance, and future readiness. Its mono-PP structure is aligned with Design for Recycling principles and helps coffee brands prepare their packaging portfolios for the PPWR. At the same time, this solution runs reliably on existing VFFS machines and offers high sealing strength together with high-performance barriers against oxygen, water vapor, UV radiation, and nitrogen. High oil resistance, excellent puncture resistance, and secure sealing of aroma protection valves ensure dependable product protection. Its high rigidity and pack stability also ensure an attractive presentation at the point of sale.

CarbonLite® Flow Pack PurePP helps coffee roasters adapt their packaging portfolios for the PPWR as well as future market requirements. Compared with a conventional PET/Alu/PE structure, this PP-based solution can reduce packaging weight by up to 15%*, or by as much as 44%* with the metallized PP variant. A screening LCA for coffee packaging also indicates the potential to reduce the carbon footprint by up to 43%, and by up to 50% for the metallized variant compared with a PET/Alu/PE reference structure.**
* Die Berechnungen erfolgen anhand der jeweiligen Materialdicke (µm), der intern hinterlegten Flächengewichte (g/m²) sowie der eingesetzten Materialstrukturen.
** The calculations are based on an internal screening LCA comparing a PET/Alu/PE reference structure with PP-based alternatives, taking the German recycling mix into account
Rising costs, changing consumer habits, and new regulatory requirements are reshaping the coffee market and, with it, the role of packaging.
