Dual program – Data Science and Artificial Intelligence

What you’ll learn

In addition to foundational knowledge in computer science and business information systems (data science), this program also covers the fundamentals of digitalization and process management. You’ll learn how to analyze large data sets and develop innovative AI-driven solutions. This study program equips students with the skills to understand complex data structures and extract meaningful insights from them. You’ll also learn to design algorithms that use machine learning and artificial intelligence to solve business challenges and optimize processes. SÜDPACK is looking for students eager to help shape the digital transformation by applying their technical expertise.

Program overview

Alongside your academic studies at the university, you’ll gain practical experience within our company – primarily in various aspects of information technology. You’ll also gain experience in departments such as Supply Chain Management, Customer Service, and Controlling. The Data Science and Artificial Intelligence program will prepare you to take on advanced responsibilities in the context of Industry 4.0.

What you’ll learn

Business administration forms the core of the program, which is supplemented by digital content. You’ll gain foundational knowledge in digital production, information and communication technologies, as well as practical IT application skills. At SÜDPACK, digitalization and internationalization are now central to our success. That’s why we’re looking for students eager to learn how to support digital transformation processes – while applying sound business judgment along the way. You’ll work at the interface between our specialist departments and IT team, and learn how to develop and implement digital or digitized processes within the company.

The Business Studies – Digital Business Management program prepares students to work on a wide range of tasks at SÜDPACK while also equipping them for the challenges of tomorrow’s workplace. What you’ll learn

This program will provide you with in-depth business knowledge across all functions and processes at SÜDPACK. You’ll learn how to analyze operational challenges, identify potential solutions, and make sound business decisions. During your practical phases, you’ll get to know the sales side of our film products and explore our markets. Customer support and advisory services will also be part of your responsibilities. You’ll learn how and when to use various marketing tools and how to measure their effectiveness. You’ll also gain experience in managing payments, preparing business statistics and cost calculations, handling procurement processes, and supporting HR tasks such as personnel administration.

This program covers the fundamentals of business administration – including finance, marketing, human resources, and accounting – and is complemented by advanced studies of international management and intercultural competence. As SÜDPACK expands its presence in international markets and faces the many challenges of globalization, we’re looking for students who feel confident working in a global environment. During your practical phases, you’ll strengthen your intercultural skills – for example, by supporting and advising international customers or communicating with international suppliers.

Alongside your academic studies at the university, you’ll gain practical experience within our company. You’ll work in departments such as Customer Service, Strategic Purchasing, Logistics and Dispatch, Marketing, and Controlling. You’ll also gain an understanding of our production processes and learn everything there is to know about our products. The Business Studies – International Business program prepares students to handle complex and diverse commercial challenges in a global business environment.

Program structure

This six-semester program takes place at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) in Ravensburg. Some of the lectures are held in English. Spanish lessons are also part of the program. During your practical training phases, you’ll typically complete at least two project assignments and write your bachelor’s thesis in your final internship semester – focusing on current, real-world topics that add value to the company.

What you’ll learn

In addition to business fundamentals, this program includes relevant areas of law and macroeconomics. You’ll also develop practical skills in statistics and business mathematics, and learn how to create well-founded, goal-oriented solutions. Thanks to your broad knowledge base, you’ll be well equipped to handle a wide range of logistical challenges. Beyond subject-specific knowledge in freight forwarding, transport, and logistics, you’ll also acquire essential skills in project and LEAN management – and apply them in real-world situations. You’ll learn how to support the processes required to implement logistics systems within a company.

What you’ll learn

This program will teach you the fundamentals of mechanical engineering and provide in-depth knowledge of plastics engineering. You’ll put this expertise into practice during your training phases at our family-owned company, where you’ll expand your knowledge of plastics engineering through hands-on projects relevant to our operations. You’ll also be involved in process optimization tasks. At SÜDPACK, we’re looking for students eager to make a meaningful contribution to the sustainable use of limited natural resources, and to help us drive progress in the areas of waste disposal and recycling.

Alongside your academic studies at the university, you’ll gain practical experience within our company. You’ll rotate through departments such as Process Engineering and Production Projects, Engineering, Quality Management, Application Technology, and Research and Development. You’ll also become familiar with our state-of-the-art machinery, and receive hands-on training in the fundamentals of plastics and metal processing, as well as electrical engineering, in our training workshop. The program Mechanical Engineering – focusing on Plastics Engineering prepares students to take on challenging tasks in production-related areas.

As part of the program, you’ll also explore waste disposal and recycling.

What you’ll learn

This program equips students with process engineering and general engineering skills that are essential for addressing many practical challenges, including the production and packaging of food products. You’ll build on your business knowledge and project management skills by working on real-world problems within the company. As the demands placed on packaging – especially regarding product protection, sustainability, and recyclability – continue to grow more complex, SÜDPACK is looking for students who can bring the right expertise and capabilities to a business setting.

Alongside your academic studies at the university, you’ll gain practical experience within our company. You’ll rotate through departments such as Research & Development, Application Technology, Quality Management and Laboratory, Process Engineering, and Production Projects. You’ll also become familiar with our state-of-the-art machinery and receive foundational training in plastics and metalworking as well as electrical engineering in our training workshop. The Food and Packaging Technology program prepares students to take on versatile, product-related roles in technical areas.

Program structure

This degree program offers in-depth practical experience and runs for seven semesters. It includes theoretical phases that take place at Kempten University of Applied Sciences. You’ll work at the company during semester breaks and the internship semester (fifth semester). You’ll complete a project assignment during the internship semester and write your bachelor’s thesis in the final semester – focusing on current, real-world topics that add value to the company.
